Trimble Connect Menu
The Trimble Connect Contextual menu holds a set of functions like menu, view settings, transform, measure, view, model, and immersive/tabletop.
The current design of the contextual menu is rigid and sharply defined.
Identified inconsistencies in icon styles like solid and line icons.
Trimble grey is used for normal, hover, and active states to make the background less pronounced.
According to usability testing, unlabelled icons make it difficult to identify their function.

Brainstorming - Radial Menu

Watch approach
Watch radial menu approach has circled clock lines which will be highlighted diagonally if the user selects the menu.
The names of the functions are displayed in the centre when the user makes a selection.
Volume control approach
Volume control - The Radial menu is slightly similar to the watch approach, the difference being that it has dark lines like volume control.

Minimal approach
The minimal approach is a combination of both above approaches with the thoughtful reduction of lines & styles.
Circle approach
In this approach, functions are kept in a bound circle.

By using circle icons as measurement tool belts, consistency is maintained.
Instead of the centre, the function name and icon are placed nearby for proximity.
Users can use the move tool in the centre to locate the radio menu and visit the model without the blocked radial menu view to ensure ease of use.
Branches of the functions show up when users gaze at the icon to avoid multiple taps.
To highlight a selection, we used Trimble blue as an active colour.
